Plavix

Is Plavix a less dangerous (fear of hemoraging) blood-thinner than coumadin? When is it used as it relates to people with atrial fib?

It can be used in people who are allergic to coumadin or those who are too high risk of bleeding to be likely to tolerate coumadin. It is slightly better than aspirin for prevention of stroke, and not as good in terms of prevention stork as coumadin. It is as likely as aspirin to cause bleeding but less likely than coumadin.
