I am a 23 years old male. I have a problem of fast and irregular heartbeat (80-100 bpm), and am taking Cordarone (100mg/day) with Atenolol(25mg/day) from last 2 years.
I feel excess urination along with mood disorders, sleepiness and lack of sex drive. Could it be due to the medication? What can I do to improve this?
My step-dad was just prescribed Coradone, as part of a treatment regimine with Digoxin, and other medication. Suddenly, he cannot sit still, he is short of breath, and he's having tremors, which are an adversity to Coradone. He was on a loading dose of four two hundred milligrams, but he went back to the VA when he started experiencing problems, and they changed the dosage. He's going back to the VA tomorrow, cause he's still experiancing tremors, hyperactivity, and insomnia, and sweating, and shortness of breath. Could this be some of the adversities of Cordarone? I told him he needed to call the vA today, and see what they said. I'm a nurse, and I guess if one of my residents was experiancing it, I'd page the doctor. What else should we do?
I have been taking cordarone and coumadin after an arrythmia problem. This has since gone back to normal. My problem is a lackluster sex drive since I've been taking this medicine. What I want to know is there anything I can take or do to improve this?

Sigrid
There is an excellent site for drugs, tells all you need to know about most of them. It's called RX list, I don't have the address but search for it on the internet, it's a great reference. Hope this helps!
Dear Sigrid,
Cordarone (generic amiodarone) can cause many other side effects (which are described in the package insert) but bleeding is not one of them. Is she also taking coumadin (warfarin) or aspirin? If so this would be the most likely cause of the protracted bleeding.
