Post Surgery Clicking

My father who is 72 had bypass surgery in May. He's always been in good
shape, not overweight, works out every day. No high cholesterol, basically
no risk factors, other than the fact that his father had died from a heart
attack. He was scheduled for angioplasty and during the procedure, the
balloon broke, throwing a piece of the balloon into his artery. The doctor
couldn't retrieve the piece so did emergency bypass. His recovery has been
wonderful, his therapy going well, he feels great. The only exception is
that he occasionally feels a clicking in his chest. He says it's close to
his breastbone so we don't feel it has to do with his heart. His doctor
says it's nothing to worry about, that it will go away with time. But my
father is still wondering just what it is and if he should do something
about it. Any thoughts you might have would be greatly appreciated.
