Post bypass surgery question

Hi My husband had double bypass surgery three years ago at the age of 52. He was doing quite well until about 1/12 ago.  He doesn't smoke or drink.  Started having chest pain, dizziness.  We went to the hospital about 3 times with these symptoms.  All of his heart enzyme test came back fine. He eventually had stress test and another cathiterization procedure which all came back fine.  Pain continued. Doctor narrowed it down to Lipitor. Took him off and he started feeling wonderful.  Changed him to Livalo.  Felt good for first six weeks.  Symptoms started again. Took him off.  We are now at him having continuous elevated blood pressure which wasn't an issue before.  He feels dizzy sometimes has inflammation across his chest wall and underneath his left arm. He says he feels worse when he sits down or more recently lies down. We are at our wits end.  Doctor is focusing on the Statin drugs side affects.  Should we be trying to rule anything else out???

Have they done an echo or x-ray to rule out pericarditis? Seems a bit odd that statins cause just chest pains and dizziness, I wonder if it's a coincidence. I'm guessing he was put on statins pre-bypass or very soon post surgery so it seems a long time for it to have an effect.
Does it hurt when he takes deep breaths?
