Pravachol Drug Interaction

Pravachol Drug Interaction

Posted by **** Campbell on July 29, 1999 at 12:43:01
My GP Doctor prescribed Lamisil(terbinafine) for a toenail fungal condition, I am presently taking Pravachol and Imdur.  Is Lamisil safe to take with those?
Thanks

Dear ****,
Thank you for your question.
Lamisil is generally well tolerated.  Of all the statins, pravachol is the least likely to have an adverse drug to drug interaction. Imdur is unlikely to be problematic in combination with your lamisil. As with all medications you should monitor for potential side effects of lamisil which can include rash and nausea.  These are rare occurences, but may occur nonetheless.
