Pregnant with Heart Palpitations

I am a 28 year old female.  I am currently 27 weeks pregnant.  I have been having Heart Palpitations for the past two weeks.  I called my OB and she made me an appointment with a Cardiologist. My appt isn't until Aug 31.  I have anxiety to begin with and these palpitations cause me even more anxiety.  Do you think that my palpitations can wait until my cardiology consult, or should I go and get checked out before then.  
Background: We have a family history of IHSS, my father died at 31, I had an echo 3 years ago and all was well and have had no problems since then.  I also have a 2.5 year old daughter who I gave birth to vaginally in Feb 2009 with no complications.

By now you have probably been evaluated by a cardiologist for your palpitations. If you should have any further questions/comments, please start a new thread addressing these issues.
