Pressure over heart, pain in left arm to cold numb, couldnt breathe, increase heart rate, cold sweat

Hi I am not sure exactly what happened. but today I was eating dinner, I had vegetable lasgna, pb and j, a piece of pineapple upside down cake and some milk. I am 21 and I weight 110 lbs, I have had a very rough and stressful day. i was sittin at the table and my boyfriend made me a drink of vodka with pink lemonade and a splash of tonic water. when I took a sip I got an feeling of incredible pressure over my heart, shooting pain in my left arm, I could not take in air, my heart rate increased, and then it stopped but my arm is still a little tingly and it felt cold for a while. not on the outside but cold on the inside. If you could please respond asap that would be very helpful. I have been diagnosed with cervical cancer, at risk to kidney failure because of sever sugar intake, and weakend muscles around the heart. I have also been diagnosed with adhd, and currently taking 20mg adderall once in the morning and 3mg yaz birth control each night. please help. thanks

Another thought - not sure how long you've been taking Adderall but it can cause side effects similar to those you've mentioned. Especially if you took any other meds with it. There's a long list of medications (prescription as well as over the counter) that you should avoid while on Adderall. Not sure about alcoholic drinks. Anyway, hope you're feeling better today.

I have no idea what happened. You're a bit young to be having a heart attack since that usually comes from years of plaque build up in the blood vessels. But a blood clot could cause a heart attack too.

Considering everything else that's going on in your life, it could have been an anxiety attack which can feel like a heart attack. "But I don't feel anxious" you say. People who have anxiety attacks rarely feel wound up or nervous at the time. It seems to go deeper than that and the body chemistry changes in a snap and they have an attack.

To be on the safe side though, it would be best to be seen by a doctor today, let them do an EKG and some blood work which will tell you if you've had a heart event. Take care.
