Problems with speech

Hi there,
My dad is just over 60 years old, he went to the dentist for two fillings and when he came back he could not talk very well , three days later his speech is still not great , is there anything that could of caused this that we need to get him checked out for , I expect some problems straight after having fillings but would not normally think that it would last so long ?

I am not sure why you are posting this on the heart disease section. As far as I can tell this is not a cardiac issue.
But he may have either a side effect from the anesthetic, or actual nerve damage that may be causing his altered speech. I am not a dentist and am not experienced in the complications fost oral surgery, but would advise you to speak to the dentist and enquire about his thoughts on the matter.
