Prognosis for femoral nerve damage during catheterization

by dwalters855, Oct 02, 2008 05:59PM
My wife was just diagnosed with femerol nerve damage (stabbing pain, weak right leg, tingling of hands / feet) and is having to use a walker after having her nerve damaged during angioplasty.   Based on what we are hearing the nerve will take some time to heal and we will just have to endure using pain medicine until the nerve heals.  Has anyone heard of any treatments from their neurologist, pain doctor, or cardiologist that will accelerate the healing process?  Have steriod shots helped anyone?
