Proximal septal hypertrophy??

Proximal septal hypertrophy??

My wife is in her early 50s, healthy, normal weight, no HTN. C/o palpitation recently. Holter was normal, but had echocardiogram (2D Echo, doppler, and M-Mode) concluding mild proximal septal hypertrophy; Grade I  diastolic dysfunction (impaired relaxation). Ventricles and atria are all normal size, normal cavity sizes, normal wall thickness, and normal wall motion. Est LVEF was 60-65%. All valves were normal with trivial mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation. All else was structurally normal sizes, flow, etc. What does this mean for her and for her future? Is this a precursor to CHF and how can it be treated? Thank you.

A small amount of mitral and tricuspid regurgitation is seen in almost everyone. This is a fairly normal finding which does not serve as a precursor to the development of congestive heart failure.
