I had a Pulmonary Embolism last year. The Doctor said it was a fairly large clot. Thankfully, months later he sent me to a cardiologist for a series of tests...I was not having any problems or complaints at that time he just felt I should have it done. I was told that when the clot passed through my heart it caused a week spot to the bottom part of my heart. I was told that with time the scar tissue will form and strengthen it but until that it could just (break open). He said it would not be a typical heart attack but a sudden death. Has anyone had damage to their heart from a Pulmonary Embolism? Does this make sense?
