Pulmonary Hypertension & Systemic Hypertension

Does Systemic Hypertension have any spill over affect on Pulmonary pressures... particularly as it applies to RVSP?

Also how do hydration levels and weight affect pulmonary pressures?

Systemic HTN has a great effect on pulmonary pressure, especially when the blood pressure is high or when there are changes in the heart related to elevated blood pressure, such as mitral valve regurgitation or a stiff heart chamber.  controlling systemic blood pressure will improve the pulmonary pressure in most cases.

For the most part, hydration and weight have very little effect on pulmonary pressures.
