Pulmonary neuropathy

Anyone else out there with this? My arms/hands and feet/legs hurt standing and sitting is probably worse. Lots of cramping; have a headache just about every day; nosebleeds; toes and fingers sometimes feel numb to me but if you touch them I have feeling. The pain is like burning/aching from over exercise or something. Hard to describe. P.S. I'm not a diabetic.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Neurontin will help for neuropathy, as it helps in nerve regeneration. To confirm a diagnosis of neuropathy, nerve conduction studies may be helpful. Besides taking neurontin, avoid consumption of alcohol, take a balanced diet to avoid vitamin deficiencies and check to see if any medications you are taking are causing neuropathy. Take care.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Thanks, and I think the doctor has finally given it a name...peripheral neuropathy and she prescribed Neurontin. From what I've read there's not much to be done for this. I don't know whether to pursue further treatment...find someone that specializes in this...or just accept it as my life.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The symptoms described by you could be due to neuropathy. It is a disorder of the nerves which causes numbness, tingling, unusual sensations and sometimes pain. Diabetes Mellitus can cause neuropathy. Besides diabetes, other causes like vitamin deficiencies, alcohol consumption and certain medications can cause neuropathy. You may need to consult your primary care physician to detect the cause.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
