Pulsating chest pain that radiates to the head

Hello, for whom ever is to read this. My father(45 yrs of age) has been having repeated episodes where pulsating chest pain/uncomfortableness radiates to his head; there has been an occasion where he felt like fainting. Are these symptoms for a common condition or more serious?  He had some studies done in mexico a couple weeks ago where they found some type of hernia in his stomach and an irregular sound to his heartbeat(there was a pop in between the normal cycle of the beat) and supposedly lesions in the aortic valve. I am not sure what to make of this. Any thoughts? I appreciate every and any kind of feedback. thanks!
