Pulse beat in the throat

Last couple of weeks I can feel a pulse in the front of my throat. If you put your hand on it, you can feel it beating. I dont feel anything going on with my heart when this happens. Just a pulse beat in the throat. What is this.

Do you mean you can feel it when you put your finger on your throat? Or so you mean you can you feel it all the time without touching it?

See your doctor to be safe. We all have a pulse in our neck of course, but I don't think it is normal to feel your pulse as you are. I haven't looked up the symptoms of an aortic aneurysm or dissection, but maybe this symptom you are having could be one. It could also be a totally harmless phenomenon that will soon go away. I sure hope so.

Be well,

Jack
