Pyruvate, doe s it really work???

Heloo I just wanted to ask has anyone heard of a product called pyruvate. I red somewhere that its great for recovering the heart. Some guy claims that he was taking it after he had a heart atack and that it recovered his heart. He says that it even revievd his dead heart cells so that he has no more scar tisue. Did anyone heard anything about it. Is it realy so good for the heart or is it just some usleles junk used to make money?
O and can it be used in ppl with dilated cardiomyopathy?

Hmmmm.  The only thing I know for certain is that I don't know anything, but I recall reading in Dantes "Infirno" when in University  40 years ago that there was a special level of Hell for those who sold false nostrums, so even in the Middle Ages there was the problem of Charletons and their ilk.

If this is a true question, the obvious answer is that there is nothing that can bring dead cells back to life.  If this is Spam, shame on you.

I can say for sure that dead cardiomyocytes cannot be brought back to life by anything.  Once a cell undergoes death, that is final.  They break down their membranes and their contents and they are gone.  You already have tons of pyruvate in your body - every glucose molecule you take in is metabolized to pyruvate.
