Question about CT scan

Hi, I really hope this is something you can answer. After a recent car wreck I had an abdominal CT scan. Was normal.  I was hoping that by this scan, something could incidentaly be explain by my middle back pain...I have a long history of "muscular" pain with sharp stabs and complete disability for several days at a time.

I guess this isn't necessarily your specialty, BUT I hope you can tell me what is the approximate Vertebral level of this image below?  This is the first (top) image on the abdominal CT, and is that large mass my heart?  Am I looking at that right?   What vertebrae is that?  T-what do you think?   Maybe if there is any major problems with my back I hope they would have seen it "incidentally"?

So to re affirm I of course don't ask you to diagnose back pain, but maybe you can just tell me what I'm looking at there as far as the dispayed organs and Vertebral level (T-??)  Thank you very much.

Hi bob,
I can't help you with this one.  I don't read CT scans.  It looks like it is heart level which would put in the mid to low thoracic vertebral column, but that is the best I can do.  The large mass is your heart.  Talk to your internist about your back  pain.  An MRI is usually a better study for that.
Thanks for posting.
