Question about nuclear stress test results

by daisy0701, Jul 02, 2009 12:18PM
My husband, age 49 recently found out his carotid artery is 90 percent blocked in his neck. During the nuclear stress test, they found something wrong as well. His report reads; Abnormal exercise myocardial perfusion imaging with evidence of inferolateral ischemia. EKG response was ischemic,.Blood pressure was appropriate. Exercise tolerance was diminished. Gated wall motion analysis of the left ventricle reveals normal left ventricular wall motion and ejection fraction of 56%.

He is scheduled for a cardiac cath in a week. I assume there are blockages in his heart as well. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on this result?
