Questions about echo report

i am a 28 y.o. female w/hypertension. upon listening to my heart the doctor heard a murmur so he ordered an echo. the report lists several parameters which i presume are measurements of the left side of my heart (e.g. LV diameter, IV septum, posterior wall, left atrium, and aortic root).  do they not routinely take measurements of the right side of the heart and include this info on the report?  also, there's no mention of pressures or estimation of pressures--is this info usually included on a report?

Under "Doppler Flows" for the mitral valve it says:
Mitral valve: M1 0.7 m/sec, M2 0.6 m/sec
Tricuspid valve: T1 0.7 m/sec

What do M1, M2, and T1 mean?

The findings were "trace insufficiency of the mitral and tricuspid valves".  Does this explain the murmur?  Also, would trace insufficiency be sufficient enough to cause ankle swelling?
Sorry this is so long, thank you,

Dear Shannon,

M1, M2 and T1 all refer to the number of measurements taken through a valve ( M for mitral, T for tricuspid).

As far as your murmur, this insufficiency could cause the murmur and may be the cause of your swelling.
