Questions on tingling in left arm and chest burn / pain

Just these past couple of days, I have been experiencing some chest burning, slight dull pain constantly though on the left and middle of my chest with tingling sensations down my left arm into my hand... there is a part of me that thinks it is muscle spasm related and I have a demoid cyst on my ovary right now that I think may be causing me some gas problems, so I guess my question is, should I have reason to be alarmed that this could be a heart problem?  Can muscle spasms cause this type of thing?  What should I be looking for as far as symptoms that would make me want to go get checked by the doctor.. I go in for laparoscopic surgery next thursday, the 13th, for the cyst to be removed and just was alittle worried?????
Thanks for the time.  N.

Dear Nadine
You should get this checked out by your doctor before the surgery. If you do have a heart problem, surgery is not the time to discover it.
I hope this has been useful. Feel free to write back with further questions. Good luck.
