A right bundle branch block (RBBB) is an interuption of the electrical signall in the right bundle branch that triggers your right chambers to contract in your heart. This is actually a fairly common finding, I have an incomplete right bundle branch block as well. Typlically there is nothing done for these as they do not pose much of a risk, my cardiologist did not even tell me about mine, I saw it in my file. She told me that there is not much significance to the finding and she typically does not tell her patience unless they have other heart disease. Now a left bundle branch block (LBBB) is another story all together and does carry a higher risk of heart disease.

I don't know why your doctor would want to do an angiogram on you for RBBB unless you have other symptoms or other suspected or know heart disease. I would certainly ask before having an angiogram done.

Good Luck!

I have something really interesting according to my Cardiologist. Back in Oct 2006 I was complaining of ectopic beats, had an ECG which was fine and doc said it was normal and was symptoms of me getting anxious/worked up. I've suffered depression and anxiety and worry about anything. Got them really badly again in Jan/Feb 2007 so went back. Did another ECG and it showed a slight abnormality. Went for test at hospital, ECG + echo and they found LBBB. I then worried like mad so cardiologist did more tests. I did a stress test and walked uphill for 16 mins perfectly and he said that was "fantastic" and in the top 2% in the country. I then had a 24 hour tape. This was then interesting ! Apparently the tape showed up incomplete LBBB and during sleep I had "normal" complexes and everything returned to normal. He said not to worry as he believes I dont have ischaemic heart disease and that I'm healthy and that this is nothing to worry about and that this is just slight variation from the norm. My worry is that could anxiety and stress/depression have brought this on by the last 6-7 years of depression ? Cardio says lots of people have RBBB/LBBB and dont even know they have it and those who do have it lead perfectly "normal" lives. I wonder whether it could have been caused by the above coupled with the fact I was VERY active, fit and sporty and went from that to binging on alcohol, smoking and eating junk food and becoming 3 and a half stone overweight and still am ? I'm male, 27, 6'1 and weigh 17st 4 lbs. I must stress I worry about anything, hence why I look for answers all the time and am posting on here
