RE-STATIN AND CLOPIDOGREL

Dear Dr.
I write to you from here in Riyadh. I am age: 50yrs female / married just needed your good advice, if possible. On 1 Feb.2014, I had a stress at home with my young son of 14yrs, as my husband was away for work  far away from me for few months.I experienced a numbness under my jaw and shoulder pain with a chest squeeze or kind of heaviness pulling my heart towards back. Also, a headache. It was probably for nearly ten to fifiteen minutes.Palpitations were usual on walking !
I went to two hospitals next day, and had an ECG which showed variance in ”T” wave as negative.
My husband travelled back to me on the 7th feb. , by evening there was a slight irritating headache on the left side.Next day the headache grew strong and by 10.30am,I started experienced the same problem of what I saw on Feb.01/2014.Immediately, I was rushed to the hospital placed in ER and ICU for observation  for a day and then transferred to Ward for a day.In between, In between they had done the ECG with same results, as before.I was taken for ECHO and diagnosed as “Diastolic Dysfunction”. Stress Test was adviced and thus found that everything was okay????? by the cardiologist !!
Anyway, he had prescribed the foll. Med. 1)COVERSYLY(PERIDOPRIL) 2)LIPITOR 40MG
3)PEVODEX (CLOPIDOGREL) 4) ASPIRIN 81MG.
Since one and a half month of consumption of these drugs , I found myself better. But as of now, I  saw just below the wrist a blue/green bruise and some reddish round spots.
I was advised by the cardiologist to stop the “Pevodex-clopidogrel”and continue the rest inclusive Aspirin !!.
Is is advisable to discontinue “PEVODEX” immediately  or could you dr.,please give me a kind advice of my situation.I would send you the ECG  print by attachment if required.
Appreciate and look forward to your much concern and a good advice as soon as possible.
I apologise to write so much .Please forgive me.

Ed's right, stopping the Clopidogrel was the right move.

Hi not a Doctor but it was good that the Clopidogrel was stopped. The red spots under the skin mean you are at a higher risk of internal bleeding with this med. You can stop the medication immediately with no issues, especially if you haven't been stented.
