Raising HDL

Raising HDL

Just got back a blood work test and the results were outstanding.  The only thing that came up was the HDL at 35.  LDL is 101.

Should there be any concern with HDL at 35 and how should I raise it?

Thanks

Avoiding trans fat, stopping smoking, weight loss,  and excercise are the traditonal methods recommended for raising HDL.  Sometimes the traditional methods works, sometimes they don't.  Niaspan(niacin) is a prescription drug that may be able to raise your HDL.

I have heard that cranberry juice or pomegranate juice can raise your HDL as well.
