Yeah, I kind of figured you meant artery, not other interesting body parts. I still need to pop over to the Raynauds board and see what they have to say.
I googled the question just as I typed it in here and found all sorts of info.......on nipple vasospasms. I am referring to coronary artery spasms. Just wanted to make that clear.
Not that site. I tried the Cardizem LA 360mg once and the side effects were miserable. I had terrible chest pains and skipped beats the full 24 hours. My heart felt bruised afterward. I haven't tried it again since. I went back to taking the Norvasc. I am just curious though, if the Raynauds is spastic in nature, could there be a connection. I think there could be, but then I am just wondering. My husband says that's dangerous! (For me to wonder. LOL) Thanks, Ally
I also have Raynauds, primary not secondary. That's a relief. Primary is when you have just Raynauds, it's not secondary to some other autoimmune problem like lupus or Sjogren's.
I'd have to visit the Raynauds site and ask about any connection between Raynauds and heart spasms. All I know from my experience is the Diltiazem which was given to me for my heart arrhythmias helped stop the chest pains and has eased my Raynauds at the same time. Yes, CCB's are given to folks with Raynauds but in my case it was for my arrhythmias.
Have you visited the Raynauds site? It's separate from here so I can't post the link. They're a nice group of people.
