it is now almost 3 weeks post avr homograft. the operation itself went very smoothly, however since day one i have been hounded by i daily massive migraine. it happens everyday 90% after i wake up from a snooze. my surgeon has reffered to me to a neurologist but that can take up to 2 months. any suggestions meanwhile. the second problem is that yesterday i spent the whole day in bed and did not seem to have any energy went to the clinic to have my blood pressure taken ant is was 85 over 59 i am i 39 year old male weighing 160 lbs. the they noticed a fever of 101 but i have been checking it 3 times daily never fever. went to the emergency and they did a blood culture and will have the results on monday. kept me overnite and no fever. while there my old enemy the palpitations came to vist me again. just to let you know my resting pulse rat through all this was 95 to 110 bpm. my surgeon made me continue my lanoxin .25g 1 a day took away my dyazide for water and deleted my quinate 325mg 2x a day for my palps and added 2x daily novometropol 100 mg 2x daily. the cardiologist on duty reduced my novo 100mg to 1 daily and told me to get back on quinate 2x daily because it controlled my palps very well from before surgery. any suggestions would be appriciated. im just afraid that reducing to novom....will increase by pulse rate evan higher. now the fever of is back at 101 but it dosnot last all day it comes and goes staying for only 1 hour or so.....mario
