My sister, who is 27 has been experiencing many problems with her heart for the last two years. It started out with episodes of tachycardia accompanied with near syncopy. Monitoring showed frequent pvc's, this is a long story so I'm going to try to be brief. After seeing countless drs she went to CCF and was diagnosed with ARVD. Previous to that she had been on several beta blockers with no relief. Sotolal was tried, didn't work. We went to Arizona to see Dr. Frank Marcus ( expert on ARVD) He felt it was RVOT, not ARVD. More beta blockers tried, no help. Went to Uof M to see
Dr. Frank Morady (EP Dr.) he tried 2 ablations. She says she doesn't have as many pvc's. Tachycardia is more problematic though. In the meantime, she had another MRI, and was told again she has ARVD (this was at William Beaumont hospital )  Now she is also being told by Dr. Morady that
along with everything else, she has Inappropriate Sinus Tac. Syndrome.
She has tried every beta blocker, none work, she tried Clonidine, couldn't tolerate it. She is seeing Dr. Morady tomarrow, most likely to discuss ablation, in av node.  I don't know what to think. Her heart rate is high
all the time, especially at work ( she works in an ER)  What I'm wondering is
given the fact that she either has ARVD or RVOT what will happen if she has ablation for Inappropriate Sinus Tac. Syndr.?  How will this effect the other problem?  And how can you get 3 MRI's and everyone see something different?

Mary,
Hi, my name is Denise.  I know this forum isn't for people to exchange e-mail addresses, but I would like to talk with your sister (via e-mail or on the phone).  I want to speak with her about the Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia problem.
Dr. Fred (not Frank) Morady is the one who did my ablation at U of M also.  He is renowned for ablations.  It sounds like your sister went to top places that's for sure.  I would be very curious to see what Dr. Morady says to her tomorrow.  Can you please just click on my name above and e-mail me or have her do it?  I was also told I have Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia.  I also know another woman that lives close (somewhat) to me that had an ablation done at U of M.  I think we have something in common here.
Phil (from Med Help) please don't kill or ban me from the forum for this!
Mary,
I took have been to UofM had an ablation for inappropriate sinus tachycardia.  Before your sister agrees to this, she needs to talk to me.  Although it helped somewhat it did not cure the problem!   Dorothy   ***@****
