Herb, I am a 44 year old male who had open heart surgery in Aug. 1997 to replace the aortic valve. I was diagnosed with aortic stenosis, insufficiency and the valve was leaking. You will feel so much better after the surgery. They found mine in Dec. 1996 and decided to wait for surgery until it was necessary. Any questions e-mail me. Don Evans
