Dr,
I am 37 years old and have been diagonised as having UNIFOCAL PVC. (ectobic) I have been seen by no. of cardiologist and they said it is not dangerous and i have to live with it. Holter result shows 198 PVC with lowest heart beat during sleep 30 beats. However, every other thing is normal.
One of the cardiologist gave me Magnisum electrolytes (1 tablet a day = 40 mg) it seems that it has worked but did not stop it completley.
How dangerous are these drugs.
do I have to use it for life
Note: when I stopped the drugs the missing beats come back.

Magnesium at a low dose is not dangerous, if you are otherwise healthy. If you find it helpful and your doctor approves, it is fine to continue taking it. Magnesium deficiency can cause arrhythmias, but there is usually an underlying cause for the magnesium deficiency. If you are not on any medicines and are healthy, I doubt that you really have a magnesium deficiency.
