I am currently taking medicines for high blood pressure.  I am taking atenolol and prinzide daily.  I used to have palpitations and atenolol was prescribed.  My blood pressure was high, so my doctor also prescribed prinzide.  I am 45 years old and am about 20 lbs. overweight.  I will start exercising again after the holidays.  I went in for my yearly gynocological exam a couple of weeks ago.  I also had a mammogram done about a little over a week ago.  Everything is fine, only the day after the mammogram, I started having chest pain in the upper right part of my chest above the breast.  The pain lasted seven days, but this morning the pain went away.  I was thinking maybe I pulled a muscle during the exam, however, the pain started up again today this afternoon at work when I became stressed out.  Should I make an appt. to see my doctor or wait until after the holidays to see if it still happens?
Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you, Sharon

Dear Sharon,
One should never assume they know 'what it is' especially after it comes back the second time;
make an appointment with your physician and in the meanwhile try some tylenol or motrin for the
pain.  If you experience any shortness of breath, sweatiness, or dizziness with your pain, then
seek immediate medical attention.
