My grandfather recently suffered from a Stroke and then a Heart Attack.  He just recently had a double bypass surgery and he currently has very bad double vision.  The doctors are not sure exactly what is causing the double vision and thought that it would go away in about 2-3 weeks.  It has been about 4 weeks and he is still having double vision.  Any ideas on what it might be or what could possibly be done.
Thanks.
Dear Andy
It is possible that a stroke (either from his initial event or from the surgery) is causing his visual problems. He ought to be re-evaluated by a neurologist (doctor that specializes in strokes). If that evaluation is unrevealing, he ought to see an opthalmologist. The symptoms could also be a side effect of a new medication he is taking.
I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck.
