I've been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. My EF is already down to 16%.
At present I'm taking
CoregCoreg
Coreg cr,
MonoprilMonopril
Monopril hct, foremiside,
Lasix, Potassium and CQ10 supplement.
My question is this:
I've seen in Brochures not to drink alcohol.
CommonCommon cold sense YELLLS at me not to do that. However, I am curios about what the consequences are from consuming alcohol. The brochures tell you what not to do, not the why.
This question also applies to the use of
MarijuanaDrug abuse. What are the consequences, what are the good points (if any). Again,
commonCommon cold sense indicates to keep away from it.
Like a little kid poking at something with a stick, I'm curious.

Dear Doctor, My mother's cardiologist gave a reply like yours to
the question about why she can't have a glass of wine. The media is
saying that wine is good for you. he said it is poisin to the heart.
when i asked why he said he was was taught this in med school and
personally doesn't know why. I think what Paul and I are asking is
what actual chemicla effects the alcohol has on the heart. In France
they are saying wine is good for the heart and cholesterol. As a
student i am interested in chemistry and maybe will do this as a
project. Can you tell me some sites where maybe they can give more
nforamtion. From Andy Martinello in Zambia
