Last Tuesday (April 27), I got real sick with a flu like virus.  I spent the day in bed feeling like I would throw up at any time.  I never did.  Around 4:00 that afternoon, I started to feel better.  However, ever since then, I've had heart palpitations.  When I'm busy or working I usually don't notice them but when I'm sitting around or not busy, that's when I feel them.  It occurs frequently, possibly as much as once every five minutes or less.  It's only one palpitation and it feels like a hiccup.  Could that be a result of my being sick or something else?  Thank you for your reply.

Interesting.  I had an intense gastrointestinal virus on New Year's Eve, and ever since, have had PVC's.  The only thing that has helped mine is Zantac 150mg 2x/day, prescribed by my doctor (at my suggestion).  Since your PVC's may have a g.i. connection (owing to your comment about nausea), you might try over the counter Zantac for a few days twice daily (75mg over the counter)to see if it has any impact.  There is medical literature which suggests some (but probably not most) PVCs are related to a reflux condition.
I'm not a physician.  See your doctor for an ECG or holter to rule out something more serious.
