Hi Dr. CRC,
Hope all is well with you! Things are going quite well for me at the moment woooohoooo! My question relates to
hormone effects. If you believe hormones can have an effect on PVCs, what about them triggering PAT? To be quite
honest, I have had quite a few of my
SVTsParoxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (psvt) a few days prior to my period. Is this just a coincidence? I mean I have had
them at other times as well, but that time seems to be more of a difficult time for me. If they can effect the PAT or
PVCs, what is the cause? Is it because of the
estrogenHormone replacement therapy levels at that time?
Thanks,
Denise

Dear Denise,
I'm glad to hear things are going well. I don't know if horomones play as important a role in PAT as they do in PVC's. I don't have a good explanation except for what my patients have shared with me. You may try keeping a log to try to find associations with the
arrhythmiasArrhythmias and events (monthly cycle, foods, sleep, etc) to see if you can pin-point specific causes. Take care of yourself.
