I would like to know if any of your cardiac surgeons have expertise in doing septal myectomies for hypertrophic obstructive cardio. Thank you  Patrick

Dear Patrick, thank you for your question.  Our cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons are experts at treating hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM).  Dr. Harry Lever is the cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic who specializes in HOCM and Dr. Bruce Lytle is the surgeon who performs septal myectomies.  We have an extensive experience here with this procedure with excellent results.   If you would like to be evaluated here, you would need to be seen by Dr. Lever first (216-444-6970).  Dr. Lytle's phone number is 216-444-6962.
I hope you find this information useful.  Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only.  Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to write back with additional questions.
