There is a website called Jon's Place and the section of the site called Heartbytes has a news release from Reuters dated 6/3/97 on this subject. The address is: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/2571/jonsplace.htm
I know there is some study work on this subject being conducted at Loma Linda University Medical Center. My wife was considered for this study, but it could not be ascertained that the cardiomyopathy had occurred within the past six months and so she was not included. Good Luck!
