I have been taking 80 mg. of
InderalInderal
Inderal la every night for about 10 years to help reduce frequency and severity in my migraines. Recently, for about six months my dr. increased my dosage to 160 mg. every night. Then I had to change dr.'s due to insurance purposes. My new dr. took me off of
InderalInderal
Inderal la and put me on 100 mg. of
ToprolToprol-xl XL tabs every night. Was it wise to just stop the
InderalInderal
Inderal la and start the
ToprolToprol-xl? I have been feeling kind of weird but I am not sure if this is the reason. (Feeling weird is no unusal for me). Should I worry?
Thanks!
Dear Judy
It can be dangerous to stop a medicine like Inderal cold turkey, but you were soon started on Toprol, which is the same type of medicine - a beta-blocker. Thus, it should not be a problem though the dosage may need to be adjusted.
I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
