My doctors found a murmur when I was 7 years old and said that eventually it should close by its self.  I am 31 now.  Ive had an eco and they really didnt see one.  My problem is that sometimes I feel a bubbling in the center of my chest.  It does not hurt, but I feel it.  I dont usually have heartburn when this happens, (that is entirely different feeling).  Remember blowing through a straw into your drink and the bubbles it makes.  This is the best I can describe as to what I think it feels like.  It is quick only lasting a few seconds (Maybe 2 or 3).  A gurgling sound.  My husband has heard it just with his head on my chest.  I have worn a holter monitor but it didnt happen while I was wearing it.  I have watched my diet to see if it happens after something that I eat and have found nothing really sets it off.  It just happens.  Is it my heart or could it be something else?
Help if you can.  My doctors havent had the pleasure of hearing it and I really get frustrated when it happens after Ive left thier office.

I'm not sure what it is but it's definately not a murmur.

i know the feeling, only i compare it to squeezing a sponge, the way it bubbles. this i can feel right before a bout with svt. your right, it never happens on a ecg or holter. i have to assume that since the arrhythmias are considered benign, that this must not be having an adverse effect. at least its good to know its not a complete mystery to everyone, only the dr.!
