I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and have been taking synthroid for the last seven months now.  Since this time my blood pressure has dropped to 90 over 66, where as before it was 110 over 88.  I also have had  many panic attacks while taking this medicine, are there alternative medications I can take for this disease??? And should I be real concerned about my bp dropping as much as it has???? Also, are the panic attacks a signal that something is wrong??? Please help ...

I am not a doctor, but would strongly suggest getting a complete thyroid panel (blood tests) done.  Panic attacks could indicate your medication is at too high a level, therefore making you hyperthyroid.  As for the low blood pressure I believe that could indicate the opposite - hypothyroidism.  So never the less, it would be wise to make sure your synthroid is at the right level.  Also, having been there myself, thyroid disease can make you feel cruddy at times if your levels aren't correct.  If you are prone to panic attacks, being hyper or hypothyroid could contribute to your panic attack frequency and intensity.  Good luck!
