Hi Steven, I am not a Dr. but I am the mother of two and I have postpartum cardop
myopathy(dialated cardiomyopathy). I have been advised not to have anymore
children. All the research I have done seems to point to NOT risking further
pregnancies. This could risk you wifes life and the babies. A normal EF is 55 or higher
If you can get a second opinion do it. Also you would want to find an OB/Gyn
that has dealt with women you have heart conditions. Your wife would be consisdered
a high risk pregnancy. Best of luck. Jamie
