I've seen 6 different cardiologists (mainly because my insurance kept changing) and 2 electrophysiologists.  This whole thing started when I was 15 and I would get what the cardiologists think is PSVT (attacks would last max of 5 minutes, and only happen 2-3 times per year, every attack precipitated by grueling exercise).  Then when I was 23 I started getting PAC's every other beat, 24hrs a day.  Every cardiologist I saw, including the 1 electrophysiologist said not to worry about it if it was possible (you can imagine how annoying a skipped beat every other beat was).  I moved and saw another electrophysiologist and he wanted to do an EP study on me.  I was hesitant being 25 years old coupled with every previous doctor telling me an EP study wasn't indicated so he put me on Tambocor, 100mg BID saying that he didn't want the chronic PAC's to turn into anything life threatening (my heart is structurally normal from every test known to mankind being run on me).  The PAC's now only happen when I lie down to go to sleep until I get up in the morning and my electrophysiologist doesn't seem concerned about it.  I've only had one PSVT attack since I started Tambocor(at least what they tell me is PSVT, again, which never was recorded on anything....everyone just assumes it's PSVT, that's why I asked initially what PSVT FEELS like) which was last year but it lasted 1.5 hrs (I understand Tambocor can cause a more difficult conversion from SVT to NSR sometimes).  I most likely will have an EP study with possible ablation done if the next electrophysiologist I see tells me I should have it but I'm waiting until next year when I move to Philly to find a really great electrophysiologist at a teaching hospital (I don't feel comfortable having it done at a community or private hospital).  Do you have any suggestions?  Sorry this was so long winded....thanks, Bob
