I am a 32 year old female who has suddenly started experiencing PVC's.  Like others here my doctor doesn't seem as concerned about them as I am.  My PVC's primarily occur after I climb one flight of stairs and walk to my office....often occuring shortly after I sit down at my desk.  What is most concerning to me is that I have been climbing these stairs for the past two years and not had this problem before the past few months.  In fact before the PVC's, I would sometimes I do four flights just for exercize.  I do not smoke, drink, or ingest caffeine which are some of the common reasons I see posted for palpitations.  I am also not overweight although am somewhat inactive especially now that I don't want to get my heart rate up due to these PVC's.  I am somewhat of a choclate "fiend" maybe an average of 1/2 candy bar per day worth of chocolate or candy per day.  My questions are 1) can chocolate alone cause PVC's, 2)Does sugar play a role in PVC's, 3) The chocolate and sugar are not new for me, so why now am I getting these and why are they primarily excercise induced (I have had just a couple of episodes where I have experienced them when lying down), 4)so far my doctor has checked the event monitor and scheduled a stress test.  Is this adequate testing for PVC's?

I too am a 32 year old F and have been experiencing PVC's on and off for years. Lately they have become much worse. I'm wondering if I should be concerned if the PVC's seem to increase when I'm running. Some days I can go on a long run and only experience 1 or 2.  Other days, like today, I experience them every couple of minutes.  Can this be dangerous to have them while my heart rate is up due to exercize?  Why would they not bother me sometimes, but other times seem to be happening all the time?  I stick to the same diet.  I avoid alcohol, caffeine and stress when possible.  My head felt really heavy and it felt like my ears were plugged tonight while I was experiencing the episodes.  Could this somehow be related?  I used to be a long distance runner and now I'm afriad to get going too fast and to go for too long because of these PVC's.  The other thing is that they almost feel like they are in my throat sometimes.  Sometimes I can feel them in my chest, but sometimes, especially with exercise they feel like they're up higher.  It almost feels like they are in my throat and I feel like I have to catch my breath.  Do you think this could be something other than PVC's?  I guess my main concern is exercise with these things.  I'm so afraid that I'm going to pass out or that my heart is just going to keep skipping.  I've had the holter, echo and Ekg.  I asked for an echo-stress test, but the doctor didn't think it was necessary.  I think with my history of running it is something that would be worth while.  Any info. would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
