Dr. APS,
Thanks for you fast response to my last post.  One thing I forgot to say.  Some years ago, I took some Nyquil for a bad cold.  Instead of knocking me out, it wired me up, heart racing, wide awake all night.  You suggested for a cold I might try Benadryl, considereing my SVT, PACs & PVCs.  Does Benadrly have any similarities in its make-up to Nyquil?  If I responded poorly to Nyquil back when I wasn't having anyproblems, I woundn't want to take anything similar to it now that I have these problems.

Dear Kim,
Nyquil, although I do not know the exact ingredients, is different than benedryl-go to your local pharmacy, read the ingredient labels on the boxes of each drug and see for yourself.
Make sure your physician is aware of all the over the counter medication you are taking, as well as your history of reacting to Nyquil.
I hope this information is useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for
general purposes only. Only your physician can provided specific diagnoses and therapies.
Feel free to write back with further questions. Good luck!
