I sometimes feel a kicking in my chest or a small spasm-like feeling.
It has happened when running, but usually happens when I bend at
the waist.
I've been diagnosed with a small hiatal hernia and chronic inflammation
of the esophogus. I've had a treadmill stress test (normal), and worn a
24-hour monitor and 30-day event monitor. Neither of the monitors
caught the problem. It happens to fast.
My cardiologist said not to worry and to come back in 6 months.
Should I get a second opinion or ask for another monitor?
I'm worried.

Dear Janice,
Thank you for your question.  I imagine  your cardiologist  suspects a GI cause to your symptoms.  I can't really tell you if you should seek a second opinion but if you are still worried it may put your mind at ease to see someone else.
