I can certainly understand your concern and desire to have this repaired. Depending on the size of the hole the best option for you may be the use of what is called a closure device. These small "clamps" are placed through a small tube in the leg and close the hole in the heart. We perform this procedure here and most major medical centers should be able to evaluate you for this.
