: Hi;
We have a 3 year old female that has been diagnosed with
premature ventricular contractions. Could you give us some
general information about treatment? prognosis?
Thanks!

Dear Lynn,
I apologize for the delay in answering your question, but it just came to my attention that this was never answered.
Any young child with diagnosis of PVCs should probably be evaluated with an echocardiogram to evaluate the structure of the heart.  PVCs in adults is a benign diagnosis, and usually this is so in children without structural heart disease.  If your child has already had an echocardiogram feel free to say so as you request further information.
