Is it safe to have a MRI when you have a St. Jude's Valve in place?
Are these valves made of Titanium or graphite?

Hi Anne the St Jude valve is MRI compatible. However the Masters Series probably cannot be visualised well on the MRI because of metal in the sewing ring. The vale's cage and disks are made of pyrolite carbon. The hinges that allow the disks to open and close are on some valves made of Titanium....Mario
