I am a 49 yr old female who had a cardiolite stress test last year, which was normal as the problem turned out to be GERD.  About 10 days after starting Prevacid, my left foot began to tingle.  Within a few days, it settled into a change in sensation in the two toes next to the little toe.  They are not numb just different-feeling.  A neurologist did the nerve conduction test and everything was OK.  An MRI showed degeneration and mild stenosis in L4-L5 of the spine.  Since it wasn't getting worse, the doc was stumped and said wait 3 months, and since there were no changes at that time, I'm waiting another 3 months. My dad has PVD and can hardly walk.  Sitting is frequently more uncomfortable for me and walking is better.  Lately, I notice a sore place in back of my left leg just above the back of my knee.  It's not like a sore muscle.  Actually, the skin is sore, too, like someone hit me with a baseball bat back there, but there's no bruise. I know this is probably strictly neuro in nature but could there be a vascular blockage back there?  Thanks

Dear Pam,
This dosen't sound like a vascular blockage to me.  Especially in light of normal coronary arteries.  Do you smoke?
