Hello, me name is Ben, and I'm an 18yo. male.  I've been experiencing
some chest pain.  Sometimes it is on the right side, and sometimes it's on
the left.  The pain radiates to which ever arm is on that side.  It usually
lasts for about five minutes.  I never know when to expect it. It is
not predictable.  The pain that I have felt in my chest I have also felt
in me legs, it is a tight, squeezing, or a burning feeling. I also have
felt my heart skip beats, sometimes, and it seems to beat very hard right
after.  I also have very high blood pressure, it's about 155/80.
I"m in good physical condition, I exercise regularly. Do you think this
is serious?  Do you have any ideas on what this could be?

Dear Ben,
Thank you for your question.  As you know we can not make specific diagnosis in this forum.  I can say however that your age puts you at a much lower risk for heart disease.  There are other things that could be causing your symptoms such as reflux disease or musculoskeletal causes.  I would follow-up with your family physician if these symptoms continue.  Hope this helps.  Feel free to write back with any additional questions.
