I appreciate this forum very much!
Though pvc's are considered to be
benignBenign ear cyst or tumor
Benign positional vertigo, those of us who experience them continue to search for possible causes/cures. We know about such triggers as
caffeineCaffeine
Caffeine anhydrous
Caffeine citrate
Caffeine-acetaminophen
Caffeine-ergotamine, alcohol, stress, sugar substitutes,
dehydration (have I left any out?) Now I would like to know more about electrolyte imbalances. I have read that many of us could be deficient in magnesium as measured in the cells. (I assume the same would be true for potassium.)
1. Do you think magnesium and/or potassium supplements would help? (I have read that the
chelatedChelated magnesium form is the best for absorption.)
2. Can one be easily tested for intracellular levels of magnesium or potassium? Is there a specific name for the test? Can it be done at a local hospital or must one go to a specialized facility or research institute?
3. If one abstains from all the known triggering elements, what else might cause the pvc's?
Thank you again for this forum. If anyone cares to write, my e-mail address is: ***@****

Dear Mary,
Thank you for your question. Your question delves into some very basic electrophysiology questions. Yes magnesium and potissium are important for intracellular electrical conduction to occur. And no there is no simple test for determining total body stores of these electrolytes. As far as taking supplements I would be careful. Just as too low levels can cause problems so can to high a level. My best advice until we have better answers is to continue to do what you are doing, eat a healthy
