I have been on Lanoxin for a couple of years after being diagnosed with atrial flutter and MVP. I also recently had a partial hysterectomy (not ovaries) because of constant anemia (hmgl stayed around 8), now my hair is falling out, epecially after washing. My bathroom floor stays covered and I can reach back and pull out a handful of loose hair. I'm 36 years old and otherwise healthy. Can this be caused by the Lanoxin and or the anesthesia? (even though I was anemic this was not happening previously). Thanks for your help.

I am a 66 year old male.  I was on Lanoxin for about 7 years for atrial fib.  I developed severe stomach and back pain after being on Lanoxin for a time.
I seen many doctors and even went to Mayo Clinic for help.  When they couldn't find the trouble they would say, see a Psychiatrist.  I finally found out by error that it was the Lanoxin.  No doctor will agree that it could do it but the pain stoped within 10 days after I stopped the Lanoxin.  That was about 6 year ago and the pain has never returned.
I am just saying that drugs do not affect everyone the way it reads on paper.  You will have to satisify yourself that it is not the cause, but don't take any chance on your own. Best of luck.
Jack
